Big Burley Tobacco was formerly a 68,000 square foot tobacco warehouse with a lower level. It yielded 130,000 board feet of mixed hardwoods such as 2×9 and 2×10 joist stock. It also had 130,000 board feet of pine decking. The wood was sold to reclaimed lumber companies to be repurposed into hardwood flooring and panelboard. The warehouse was removed to make way for a two-story storage unit facility, and some of the wood from the warehouse was used in the office and sign monument.

The job lasted for 4-months and required a crew of 30 workers to remove, sort and stack all the wood for reuse.
